So I've been away for a while so haven't been able to report this but BIG FREAKIN' NEWS - Seb and Yuri won the Doubles World Championship in Monte Carlo. This is some feat against the finest BG players in the world. Team work makes the dream work.
Equally as amazing is the fact that Seb is a 2 times winner. Seb won the World Doubles Championship exactly 10 years ago with Yacek.
Seb and Yuri (who is part of the Ukrainian Team) were running off the back of their sucess at the Swedish Open after winning the Doubles Championship two weeks before Monte Carlo.
Seb says, "Lots of crazy matches and games and a few times we thought we were going to lose, in one match I think we had around 0.6% to win. We weren't even going to play together but I had a good feeling, especially on the back of winning in Sweden and to keep the run going."
He goes on to say, "It was written, 10 years later where it all started that I would win it again. I almost didn't make the WC this year either and it was a real last minute decision to make it all work."
It's really great to see Bone Club pro Seb getting the success he deserves. Are you putting your money on him to win next year's World Championship? Good shout I recon.
If you don't know Seb yet then do introduce yourself if you see him at a tournament. You couldn't meet a nicer fella and i'm sure he'll give you a go on his custom Bone Club board.
Keep up the great work you two.
